Yesterday my Grandma and me went to the new restaurant KIKU. This is my first blog post of the new posts. I took a break but now I am back on track. They have recently moved to a new location, which is larger and more decorated. When I was there I interviewed the Manager. I asked him why they decided to move locations. Answer: The last location was not a big and it is a fresh start to re-present us. He also said that they got some customers but not enough in his opinion.
The decor was very fancy and Japanese styled. There were chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a bamboo wall that separated the sushi bar from the tables. I really liked the design of the restaurant and the way they arranged the furniture. When you walked in the door had an archway and a curtain for me I liked that. There was a Television at the sushi bar and that was a little bit distracting but for the most part the decor was great.
The service was not slow but not fast but not slow it was in the middle. Our waitress was very nice and she gave us hot towels to clean our hands. She gave us menus right away, and asked us what we wanted to drink. When we knew what we wanted to order she was helpful because she waited for my grandma to change her mind and ask questions about the sushi. We ordered...
An 8-piece spicy tuna roll, an 8 piece eel and avocado roll, an Udon Noodle Soup, and sashimi 1 saltwater, and 1 freshwater eel (pieces). It was truly fantastic all the tastes and the flavors in my mouth were just phenomenal. The Tuna was a perfect amount of spice and salt and the eels were so fresh. I really liked the sushi and would defiantly go back.
Overall I would rate this experience a 4.7 and the food 5.
